Lors de la présentation de ses vœux à la profession dans le cadre de la Maison de l’Optique qu’il a créé en 2000, Guy CHARLOT a annoncé une nouvelle gouvernance : il demeure Président de l’Association Silmo et s’adjoint un Président du Salon Silmo Paris en la personne de Philippe LAFONT.
Fort de ses qualités d’entrepreneur et de créateur, Philippe LAFONT est à même de perpétrer le travail accompli par Guy CHARLOT qui a su dynamiser le salon et le développer en insufflant des idées neuves et des concepts majeurs : Silmo d’Or, le Village, forums de tendances, Silmo Academy, Link by Silmo…
Ce Salon international est aussi un état d’esprit qui mélange convivialité et professionnalisme assurés par une équipe d’organisation soudée. Philippe LAFONT prend donc les rênes d’un salon tourné vers l’avenir et dont la dernière édition a convaincu les professionnels en investissant un nouveau lieu : le parc des expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte.
During his New Year address to professionals at the Maison de l’Optique which he founded in 2000, Guy CHARLOT announced a new management structure: he will remain President of the Silmo Association and a new post is to be created, that of President of the Silmo Paris Exhibition, to be held by Philippe LAFONT.
Utilising his skills as an entrepreneur and designer, Philippe LAFONT is well equipped for the task of building on the accomplishments of Guy CHARLOT who has successfully breathed new life into the fair, injecting new ideas and major concepts into this event: Silmo d’Or awards, the Village, trends forums, Silmo Academy, Link by Silmo, etc.
This international exhibition has its own distinct mindset, combining social interaction with a professional ambience underpinned by a united organisational team. Philippe LAFONT takes over the reins of a trade fair focused on the future, impressing professionals during its last event with the move to a new venue: the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
